9-24-17 Horse Rescue
While on standby at the Hunter Pace equestrian event, units were notified of a rider down and horse stuck in the mud. UTV-1 arrived on scene and found an uninjured rider with her horse stuck in the mud about 40' from land. Members worked with veterinarians and were able to bring the animal closer to shore. The Durham Animal Rescue Team (DART) arrived and used their specialized equipment to extricate the horse to land. The horse was uninjured.

4-15-17 Brush Fire
Units responded to Candlewood Ledge above Joshuatown Road for the reported brush fire. Crews worked hard to contain the fire and were met with limited access and rough terrain. Mutiple mutual aid departments assisted at the scene. Approximately 4 acres burned.

3-4-17 Garage Fire
Units arrived to find a well involved single story detached garage and a brush fire extending into the marsh. The garage was a total loss. No injuries were reported.

1-29-17 Hazmat
Units responded to Ely's Ferry Road for a report of a propane leak. Units found no readings in the residence and secured the tank for the gas company.

12-12-15 Marine Search
Units responded to Hamburg Cove for reports of a missing fisherman. Members quickly located and secured the missing persons vessel however no person was found. Dive teams later found and removed a victim who had drowned.

6-12-14 Structure Fire
At 18:00 units were dispatched to 108 Hamburg Road for the reported house fire. First due Engine 1 stretched multiple handlines and extinguished a bedroom fire with extension to another room on the second floor. No injuries were reported.
